Wallet

Your control center includes a built-in wallet. It is created automatically during setup — no sign-up, no exchange account needed. You hold your own keys.

What your wallet is

The wallet is a standard blockchain address generated on your machine during first setup. The private key never leaves your control center. Sertone has no access to it.

The wallet holds USDC and USDT. All API payments — whether you are buying or selling — flow through it automatically. There is nothing to configure.

Your deposit address is visible in the Finance tab of your control center web console.

Adding funds

There are two ways to fund your wallet.

Option 1: Buy with Visa or Mastercard

The easiest way. Click Buy USDC in the Finance tab. This opens a secure Coinbase-powered checkout where you enter your card details and the amount you want. USDC arrives in your wallet within a few minutes. No crypto experience needed.

Option 2: Transfer USDC or USDT from another wallet

If you already hold USDC or USDT on the blockchain, transfer it directly to your deposit address shown in the Finance tab.

Important: Only send USDC or USDT on the correct blockchain network. Sending tokens on the wrong network will result in permanent loss. Your deposit address and the correct network are both shown in the Finance tab.

How spending works

When you call a paid API through the Sertone network, the cost is deducted from your wallet balance automatically. There is no separate billing account, no invoices, and no monthly fees.

You control your spending. If your balance runs out, API calls stop — your wallet can never go negative.

How earnings work

When a consumer calls one of your registered APIs, the payment goes into your wallet immediately after the call settles. Settlement is automatic — you do not need to approve or trigger it.

The settlement is 95% of the API price you set. 5% is the platform fee, deducted automatically. Your 95% lands in your wallet.

To move earnings to an external wallet or exchange, use the Withdraw button in the Finance tab. See Funding & Withdrawing for full details.

USDC and USDT

Your wallet supports both USDC and USDT. Both are accepted for payments and both accumulate when you earn from API sales. You can hold both currencies in the same wallet simultaneously.

When buying with a credit card (Option 1 above), the purchase arrives as USDC.

Security

Your keys, your funds

The private key is generated on your machine and encrypted with your password. It is never transmitted anywhere. If Sertone ceased to exist tomorrow, your funds would still be accessible using standard blockchain tools and your exported key.

Backup

Your wallet is included in the control center's automatic encrypted backup. If you lose your machine, you can restore from backup and recover your wallet and balance. Set up backups in Settings › Backup.

You can also export your wallet key manually at any time from the Finance tab. Store the export offline in a safe location.

Phone recovery key

For an additional layer of protection, you can register a phone recovery key. This allows account recovery via an SMS code if you lose your password. See Phone Recovery Key for setup instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a crypto wallet app?

No. Everything is built into the control center. You never need to install MetaMask, a hardware wallet, or any other tool to use Sertone. If you want to use an external wallet for withdrawals, you can — but it is not required.

Is there a minimum balance?

No minimum balance to hold. API calls require enough balance to cover the call cost. The Finance tab always shows your current balance.

Can I see my transaction history?

Yes. The Finance tab shows a full log of all payments, earnings, and withdrawals with timestamps and amounts.

What if I forget my password?

If you set up a phone recovery key, you can use it to reset your password and regain access. Without a recovery key, access requires your backup file and password. This is a feature, not a bug: only you can access your funds.
